Cooling water piping for large commercial facilities
Effect verification of red rust turning into black rust.
Due to significant concerns about the corrosion of the cooling water piping, we installed the "NMR Pipe Protector" when the facility was 43 years old as a countermeasure. Analysis of the amount of black rust after installation demonstrated that the "NMR Pipe Protector" effectively prevents the progression of red rust and promotes the formation of black rust. The amount of black rust before installation was 2.0%, but it increased to 48.2% after 10 months of installation, confirming the reduction of red rust to black rust. If we continue to use the "NMR Pipe Protector" in the future, this piping will not require replacement as long as external corrosion does not occur.
